GOLAGHAT, February 21: A vibrant(প্ৰাণৱন্ত বা উৎসাহী) inter-school speech competition was organized(আয়োজিত) today at the premises of Xyz High School, Golaghat. The event, held on a Friday, saw enthusiastic (উত্সাহী) participation (অংশগ্ৰহণ) from students representing (প্ৰতিনিধিত্ব কৰা) 12 different schools from across (ইমূৰৰ পৰা সিমূৰলৈ )the district.
The competition centered (কেন্দ্ৰীভূত) on the contemporary (সমসাময়িক) and thought-provoking(উত্তেজক) topic, “Digital Quest.”(ডিজিটেল অন্বেষণ) Participants shared their insights (গভীৰ উপলব্ধি) on the evolution (ক্রমবিকাশ) of technology, the challenges(প্ৰত্যাহ্বান) of the digital age, and the endless possibilities for learning in a connected world. GUWAHATI, February 3: A horrific (ভয়ংকৰ) road accident took place today in the Khanapara area of Guwahati when a passenger bus collided(সংঘৰ্ষ হ’ল) head-on with a speeding truck. The collision, which occurred (ঘটিছিল) early in the day, resulted in the tragic death of four individuals and left several others battling for their lives.
According to eyewitnesses (প্ৰত্যক্ষদৰ্শী) , the impact(প্ৰভাৱ) of the crash(খুন্দা মৰা) was so severe (অতিশয়) that three bus passengers died on the spot. Local residents and emergency services rushed (খৰখেদা কৰা) to the scene (দৃশ্য) to rescue those trapped (আবদ্ধ হোৱা) inside the wreckage (ধ্বংসাৱশেষ). A total of 14 injured passengers were immediately transported to the nearest hospital, where one victim (ভুক্তভোগী) succumbed(মৃত্যু হোৱা) to their injuries shortly after arrival.

Independence Day was celebrated in our school with great joy and respect. The program started in the morning with the hoisting (উত্তোলন কৰা) of the National Flag by our Principal. All the students and teachers stood in attention and sang the National Anthem proudly.
After that, the Principal gave a speech about the importance of Independence Day and reminded us of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. Some students also delivered short speeches, expressing their love for the country.
A colourful cultural programme was held where students performed songs, dances, and patriotic acts. The performances (পৰিবেশনসমূহ )were very enjoyable and filled everyone with national pride.

Sivasagar faced a serious flood situation after heavy rain continued for more than ten hours on July 12, 2024. Many areas of the town were submerged(ডুব যোৱা) under water, causing great trouble to the people.
Police and NDRF teams were pressed into service for rescue(উদ্ধাৰ) operations. They worked hard to save people and move them to safer places.
Sadly, four people lost their lives in the flash flood(হঠাত্ অহা বানপানী). The situation created panic(হাহাকাৰ) among the residents.

The program was inaugurated(উদ্বোধন কৰে) by the Principal of the school at 8:30 AM by planting (ৰোপণ কৰা) a sapling(গছপুলি) of a Krishnachura tree. Teachers and students of all classes participated enthusiastically(উৎসাহেৰে) in the event. About 200 saplings were planted in the school campus and nearby areas. Nagaon, 10th March: A tragic (শোক জনক) road accident took place last evening around 6:30 PM on the NH-37 near Juria. According to eyewitnesses (প্ৰত্যক্ষদৰ্শী), a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction lost control and hit a passenger van. Three persons died on the spot, and several others were seriously injured. Local people immediately rushed to the spot and helped in the rescue operation. The police arrived shortly and sent the injured to the Nagaon Civil Hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck managed to flee (পলায়ন কৰা) the spot. Traffic on the highway was disrupted (বিঘ্নিত হৈ পৰা ) for nearly two hours after the incident.

Nagaon, 12th April: A one-day free medical camp(শিবিৰ) was organized yesterday at the premises (চৌহদ) of Dreamland Computer Education to provide (প্ৰদান কৰা) healthcare(স্বাস্থ্যসেৱা) services to the underprivileged(অসুবিধাগ্ৰস্ত) people of the locality. A team of five doctors, including specialists(বিশেষজ্ঞ) in medicine and pediatrics(শিশু চিকিৎসা), participated in the camp. More than 300 patients from nearby villages attended the camp for health check-ups. Free medicines were also distributed to the needy patients. The organizers stated that the main aim of the camp was to create health awareness (সজাগতা) among the rural masses (গ্ৰাম্য জনসাধাৰণ).
